Devin White to Host Charity Event – Encourages COVID Safety

Recently, the news went out with haphazard headlines stating that Devin White is just throwing this massive party with total disregard to COVID-19 safety; however, that cannot be further from the truth. The headlines were coined, due to Cotton Valley, Louisiana Mayor C.C. Cox’s statement to TMZ that he believed no COVID-19 protocols or mask-wearing would be enforced, which places Devin White in a false light. Although the protocols may not be forcibly demanded to adhere to, Devin White and event coordinators will be encouraging proper social distancing according to CDC guidelines, as well as hand sanitizing and the wearing of protective masks. This should cast a new light on Devin White’s handling of the event that was otherwise taken as being nothing more than a loosely thrown, large scale party.

White’s 2nd annual “Trail Ride” at his “Get Live Stables” raises money for local charities in Louisiana and is no different than many other large scale events in recent months. Although the COVID-19 threat is currently at an all-time high, it does not mean people cannot be safe from the pesky virus. Last year’s 5th pick in the NFL Draft has shown nothing, but maturity and respect for others, so the belief that he is just throwing a massive party without a care for safety, is an unfair assessment.
