LB Jack Cichy’s Role Next Season Will Be Crucial

Last season the Buccaneers took LB Jack Cichy’s in the 6th round of the 2018 draft. While in college Cichy was one of the best LB in the country before tearing his ACL after playing in seven games. That season Cichy recorded 60 tackles, 7 TFL, and 1.5 Sacks. Cichy also showed his ability to rush the passer the year before after putting up 5 sacks.

The Bucs took Cichy due to his ability to add depth at the LB position, with his ability to play all three LB positions. Then after playing in six games, Cichy tore his other ACL, and the Bucs missed him desperately after MLB Kwon Alexander also went down.

This season KLB Kwon Alexander’s return seems to be in question, and LB Kendall Beckwith is not looking good after not playing at all last season. With Cichy’s ability to play in either a 3-4  or  4-3 defense his return is critical to the Buccaneers success next season.
