His 9th season as a pro

It’s hard to believe that this will be Adam Humphries’s ninth season in the NFL if he makes the final cut. The Houston Texans are hoping that he can, signing Humphries to their 90-man roster on Sunday. It seems just like yesterday that he was catching passes from Jameis Winston and Ryan Fitzpatrick off of Dale Mabry. Humphries left the Bucs and played for the Tennessee Titans in 2019. After two seasons with the Titans, he played for the Redskins in 2021 under a one-year deal. In 2022, he had tryouts with two NFL teams but didn’t catch on. Needless to say, this could be his last shot in the league, so he needs to make this shot count. Humphries hasn’t found the kind of success he had in Tampa since he departed. While in Tampa for four seasons, he caught 219 passes for 2,329 yards and 9 touchdowns. Not exactly eye-popping stats, but he played his role well. Let’s all wish the former Buccaneer draftee success as he tries for another year in the NFL. Go Bucs!!
