The Jacksonville Jaguars have hired former Eagles Head Coach Doug Pederson on Thursday, and the new Head Coach has staff positions to fill. Among those positions is defensive coordinator. Mike Garafolo of NFL Network has given some names that could be added to the Jaguars coaching staff. Among the names is Tampa bay Buccaneers linebacker coach Mike Caldwell.
Expect Doug Pederson to give Press Taylor (now a #Colts offensive assistant) consideration for a role with the #Jaguars and Mike Caldwell (#Buccaneers ILBs coach) as a candidate for defensive coordinator. Caldwell played and coached with Pederson with the #Eagles.

Caldwell has spent three seasons with the Buccaneers but has a long history with Pederson, having played with him on the Philadelphia Eagles in 1999 and served with him on the coaching staff with the Eagles in 2011-2012.
Caldwell had interviewed with the Baltimore Ravens for their defensive coordinator position at the end of January. The connection with Pederson and his experience as a smart and aggressive defensive coach could land him the job.
