The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were blessed with some good news on Saturday as wide receiver Chris Godwin will be active against the Washington Football Team and expected to play Sunday. Greg Auman of The Athletic was the first to report this. Godwin had not practiced this week except limitedly on Friday due to a foot injury sustained against the New Orleans Saints.
Per Jenna Laine, ESPN – The Buccaneers are again without wide receiver Antonio Brown and did not activate Scotty Miller: As a result, the team has elevated recently signed veteran wide receiver Breshad Perriman from the practice squad.
Cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting also was not activated on Saturday, but Richard Sherman has returned from a hamstring injury and will play.
Tight end Rob Gronkowski has been dealing with multiple rib fractures sustained against the Rams in week 3 but did return against the Saints in week 8 only to leave with muscle spasms. He also is out versus the Washington Football team. In response to Gronk being out, newly acquired veteran tight end Darren Fells has been elevated from the practice squad for this contest.
