According to Head Coach Bruce Arians, the Buccaneers are 100% vaccinated. This includes players, coaches, and staff within the organization. Tampa Bay is the second team in the NFL to reach 100% behind the Atlanta Falcons who did it back on August 16th.

Arians had been talking for weeks about the team being close to 100% leading to opening night but seems like they hit the number exactly a week before kickoff. Running Back Leonard Fournette publicly stated he wasn’t getting the vaccine until he learned more about it and ended up getting it after breaking down several factors including being the best teammate and NFL protocols for vaccinated and unvaccinated players.

The fact that the defending Super Bowl champions are 100% vaccinated shows how dedicated they are to winning. Last season was a big test without training camp and most things being virtual. With a full training camp and everyone onboard, the NFL better watch out for the Buccaneers to “go for 2” this season.
