The Buccaneers and Undrafted Rookie, Calvin Ashley, have parted ways by mutual agreement. Ashley left the team without permission and the Buccaneers have subsequently terminated his contract.
The undrafted free agent rookie coming out of Florida A&M signed with Tampa at the end of April. He originally began his collegiate career at Auburn as a 5-star recruit but, following 5 games, transferred to Florida A&M after a pitstop at Florida Atlantic. He started in 7 games during the 2019 season before opting out of 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Not what I thought it would be” – is something he’s said before when explaining why he’s left an organization.
