When the Tampa Bay Buccaneers drafted Devin White out of LSU with the 5th overall pick. Many fans were skeptical, and admittedly I was one of these fans; I just didn’t see how White would be better than an edge rusher such as Josh Allen. For now, I’ll trust the process.
Here is what Bruce Arians had to say about Devin White.
“He’s a dynamic player. He’s really coming into his own. You can see him blossom every week, getting better and better, more confident and more confident,” Arians said. “He’s everything we thought he’d be.”– per Michael David Smith/ profootballtalk.nbcsports.com.
In the month of November, Devin White has developed impressively and continues to improve. The trend is certainly looking upwards, and this has resulted in:
- 46 tackles
- 3 tackles for loss
- 2.5 sacks
- 2 forced fumbles
- 1 interception.
These are great stats, but they don’t tell the whole story. Fans watching games can see White becoming a force to be reckoned with and a weapon for other teams to fear.
White has been nominated for Rookie of the Week multiple times and has been honored with the Defensive Rookie of the Month Award. It’s about time that he was recognized.
