The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been blessed with two of the best wide receivers in the game today. Third-year receiver out of Penn State, Chris Godwin was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2017 NFL draft and began putting in work immediately. During Sunday’s contest against the Atlanta Falcons, Godwin recorded seven receptions for 184 yards and two touchdowns, which is his third game of the 2019 season in which he had at least 150 yards receiving. Pretty impressive!

Mike Evans only recorded 50-yards receiving, but that was enough to put him in the history books alongside Hall of Fame Receiver Randy Moss as the only two players in NFL history to record six consecutive 1,000-yard seasons, since entering the league!

Between Chris Godwin and Mike Evans, they have each recorded 150-yards in three games and have become the first wide receiver duo to do so in a single season in NFL history. Additionally, Godwin with his 1,071 yards and Evans with his 1,043 yards become just the 4th wide receiver duo to have at least 1,000 yards receiving in the first 11 games of a season. They join a very talented group of wide receiver duos, which consists of; Hall of Famer Don Maynard and George Sauer (Jets 1968), Isaac Bruce and Torry Holt ( St. Louis Rams 2000), and Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders (2014 Denver Broncos).

Despite our 4-7 record, the Buccaneers have a lot to be proud of, and it’s not just the big win that keeps the team out of the bottom of the NFC South. We have the best duo in the league in a long time, and possibly the Best receiving duo Tampa has ever had!
