Starting on November 22nd and over the following 6 weeks, the NFL will announce its “All 100 Team”. It’s been much publicized that this is the centennial year of the National Football League, and many celebrations have taken place, including fan events and special video features. One of those celebratory events will be the announcement of the greatest team, compiled of the best players over the previous 100 years.
Buccaneers fans by this point are used to not receiving much love from national media or indeed anyone outside of Tampa; so, understandably, interest in this might be dampened. Whilst some fans might argue that no Buc is deserving of this list, they would be doing this franchise and it’s history a huge disservice and committing an egregious failure of judgment.

Could anyone argue that Selmon is undeserving of occupying one of the 7 available places for defensive ends? Or that Warren Sapp isn’t worth taking one of the 7 slots for defensive tackles? What about Derrick Brooks?
All these players are in the Hall of Fame, already; recognized by their peers for their outstanding performance in the game. Whilst we’re now used to the lack of inclusion in league-wide recognition, there are certainly some players worthy of seeing their name amongst the All 100 Team.
