“It’s not us, IT’S YOU”

The Bucs enter week 7 on a bye week, which at this point is needed. They are currently sitting at 2-4 (1-2 on the road trip) after falling to Carolina in London 37-26. Let’s be honest, outside of a few good things going on with this team, this team has sucked. Our secondary has been a complete trainwreck. Our offensive line has been inconsistent, (certain players) still committing dumb penalties, and lack of discipline is still very high. This week needs to be a change of all of this and then some. Some players need to go, whether it’s from the roster or even just ride the pine until the end of the season.

Breshad Perriman: 6 weeks, 3 catches for 16 yards and zero touchdowns. He clearly is not as advertised. Yes he has some speed, and that’s great, but what good has that done for us besides show he lacks hands.

Bobo Wilson: 3 catches for 35 yards and zero visits to the endzone as well, but more important than his lack of time as a receiver, but he is a crappy punt returner. You have one job as a special teams returner, don’t fumble the damn ball.  And against the Panthers, he failed on that. Muffing back-to-back punts, while giving the 2nd to the other team in their territory, you deserve to be all by yourself.

Vernon Hargreaves III: Outside of the pick-six in week 1 and a game-clinching tackle in week 2, VH3 has been an absolute dumpster fire. He has been burnt by every damn receiver he has faced. He lines up with some much cushion, that sleep number has referenced him as a sleep number. If you don’t cut this guy, he is not starter material. Put him at nickel and give the #1 slot to Ryan Smith or Carlton Davis and let Murphy-Bunting/M.J. Stewart share that role.

Jameis Winston: Do not let him go right now, but he is not the future of this team. His play is still inconsistent. He is not the answer to the Bucs quarterback issues. He would be better suited as a back-up. The front office needs to start scouting the quarterback position for the upcoming draft, as their going to need to build the quarterback from scratch. I see a tag coming for him, and it either needs to be to watch the new QB or used as trade bait.

Damar Dotson and Donovan Smith: These guys deserve to share a spot because they are almost the same person in play. These tackles are absolute garbage. Smith was not worth the contract, and Dotson’s career is almost over. What the Bucs need to do is hit free-agency hard and draft in the later rounds to find their replacements. I’d release both at the end of the season, regardless of what guaranteed money is left on Smith’s deal. For the love of God, please do not let these guys wear a Bucs uniform come 2020.
