After his abysmal performance last season with just 23 carries for 44 yards and a 1.9 up average, RB Ronald Jones is looking to redeem himself. After a terrific training camp and Bruce Arians singing his praises all offseason, it looks like RoJo is preparing to do just that, redeem himself and his football career.
Jones showed up to camp at 220lbs that’s 12lbs more than he weighed in at last year and it looks like it’s all muscle. So come game time against the 49ers Jones showed what he can do. At games end, Jones Carried the ball 13 times for 75 yards with a 5.8 yards per carry average and 1 reception for 18 yards. In the second half, Jones broke runs of 11,11, 9,7,9, and 16 yards to put the Bucs offense in scoring distance.
Yes, last Sunday we got just a glimpse of what Jones can do athletically this Thursday night against the Panthers it’s time to take off the training wheels and really let Jones open it up.
