Dare to be Great!

Our Kangol wearing hipster-no-nonsense head coach Bruce Arians seems to have complete faith in Dare Ogunbowale.
He saw the most carries last Friday against the Steelers, with 10 for 34 yards and two touchdowns. You can call them garbage time statistics, but Bruce Arians doesn’t see it that way.
Dare OgunBowale is in his third season in the NFL after going undrafted to the Houston Texans in 2017 and found himself moving on to multiple teams, the Bucs twice and the Redskins once. He caught back on in Tampa in 2018 and stayed ever since. Now he is once again fighting for a spot on the team’s roster.
During the 2018 season, he played in two games as a kick returner returning 7 kicks for 137 yards.
What Ogunbowale brings to this team is much more than just being a fierce camp body, he is one who is capable of taking the #3 spot and would be a solid fill-in if an injury occurred.
When asked how having Dare Ogunbowale was beneficial to the running back competition, Bruce Arians had this to say:
“He helps it a bunch. He’s fighting for a job. He’s one of those top guys that I have trust in all the way. All three downs.”
We mentioned earlier that Arians stated that Ogunbowale could take on the role of 3rd down back and if he continues to perform the way he has, he will be a shoo-in. If not, I am sure he will be placed on to the practice squad until the time finally arrives for him to be great.
