More Injuries Plague The Buccaneers

Yet another victim of the injury bug.
According to Bruce Arians, Mike Edwards has a pulled hamstring.
“Mike’s got a pulled hamstring. I don’t know how long his recovery will be – hopefully six or seven days.”
Although it doesn’t seem to be anything too serious and Arians is hopeful that he will return in a week, he is not likely to play in this Friday’s game against the Dolphins.
In addition to Mike Edwards being injured, Beau Allen seems to be suffering from an injury as well and missed last Friday’s preseason game. He could miss this Friday as well. Arians mentioned this when asked about who would be the backup for Vita Vea.
“Well, Beau missed the game, but Beau would be the next guy up. All those young guys – it’s just an opportunity for each and every one of them to play until Vita gets back. He had an oblique strain.”
Kentrell Brice is also banged up but doesn’t seem to be hindered by it as he practiced through it. His will and determination are impressive to Bruce Arians.
“His toughness, because he was hurt. Some guys took the day off. He practiced, so that’s an A in my book.”
It looks like the Buccaneers could be down even more guys heading into the second preseason game against the Dolphins, but the next man mentality is in full force and a lot of young guys will get more opportunity for playing time. It’s just another opportunity for Arians to find his coveted “diamond in the rough”.
