Will The Bucs Trade Down In The Draft?
1 min read
The question has been raised about whether or not the Bucs could or should trade out of the first round of the upcoming 2019 NFL Draft.
The simple answer here is that it is highly doubtful. Nothing is impossible, so I don’t want to say no, and therefore, completely ruling it out. I am still willing to bet money that the Bucs do not end up trading out of the first round. I am 99.99% sure that it’s not going to happen. I’ll eat crow if it happens, but I doubt that it will.
Having said that, I am also not ruling out the possibility that the Bucs trade the #5 overall pick in order to stockpile more draft picks, whether it be for this year or for future years. I also doubt that happens as well, but we’ll see.
Based on most mock drafts having the Bucs selecting Devin White, the linebacker from LSU, I just don’t see many teams who are going to be desperate enough to move up and take him before the Bucs do. It will certainly be interesting to see what happens. Like always, the free agency period is going to change a lot of potential draft picks. Now is when things really start heating up and getting exciting! I’m ready for the season! I’m ready to run through a brick wall. Let’s go Bucs!
