Time For New Strength and Training Staff?
1 min read
It’s no secret the Buccaneers have had countless struggles over the years, but the largest and looming outside of coaching and scheming has been injuries.
The Buccaneers have been plagued by strains and sprains over the years, and the only consistencies with these plagues of injury have been Dave Kennedy and his assistants Joe Vaughn and Chad Wade. Dave Kennedy and Chad Wade, both, came to the Buccaneers back in 2013 and Joe Vaughn came in 2011.
So far the track record isn’t impressive.
In 2016, the Buccaneers tied for the highest amount of players on injured reserve with the Chargers during the season.
In the 2018 season, the defensive side of the ball never saw their starting roster on the field at the same time.
This brings up a question that should be asked while Bruce Arians is making his staffing changes: Is it time for a new strength and conditioning staff?
Perhaps, while the door is revolving and the coaching staff sees new faces coming in, three more names should change as well.
