We all know Alexander is set to become a free agent this year, and it had already been speculated that the Bucs will not give him top money. Money that many believe he deserves. On the other hand, some say he doesn’t deserve the big pay out due to the injury he sustained that had him out for the majority of last season.
The veteran linebacker is heading into the 5th season of his career and recently posted on his Twitter account: ‘Whateva team I’m on this year I know we making it to the playoffs real talk nothing less!!’
The Twitter post has since been deleted, but screenshots of the Tweet still circulate the internet.
Kwon has had an amazing career since being drafted by the Buccaneers, but there are few that believe that it’s not enough to warrant a big contract.
Playing in 46 games, starting in them all, he recorded 6 interceptions, 22 passes defended, 6 forced fumbles, 2 fumbles recovered, and 380 total tackles.
He will wrap up his 4-year $2,758,322 and seek out a big payout for the next season and beyond. I say pay the man! He is not someone you want to face twice in a season.
