The Las Vegas Raiders have sent shockwaves across the NFL by letting other teams know that star wide receiver Davante Adams could be available for trade. This revelation has sparked a whirlwind of speculation about where the All-Pro receiver could end up. Among several potential destinations, one scenario stands out: Adams reuniting with quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who is currently with the New York Jets, but there are other intriguing possibilities, including a three-way trade with the Panthers. Let’s dive into the options.

Adams’ Career Stats and Accomplishments

Before we explore the trade scenarios, it’s worth remembering just how accomplished Davante Adams is:
• Career Receptions: 769+
• Career Receiving Yards: 9,800+
• Touchdowns: 88+
• Pro Bowls: 6 (2017–2022)
• All-Pro Teams: 3-time first-team (2020, 2021, 2022)
Adams has consistently been among the top receivers in the league, known for his exceptional route running, catching ability, and chemistry with Rodgers during their time in Green Bay.

Trade Prediction 1: Adams to the Jets

In this scenario, the Jets emerge as the top contender to land Adams. The Raiders, who are struggling to find an identity in a competitive AFC West, could be in rebuilding mode, and moving Adams would free up cap space and bring in valuable assets.
• Jets Send: Draft picks (2nd and late round) and rights to Haason Reddick (currently with the Jets)
• Raiders Receive: The draft picks and the rights to Haason Reddick, providing them with much-needed defensive help and future assets to build around.
The allure of reuniting Adams with Aaron Rodgers, coupled with the Jets’ playoff aspirations, makes this the most realistic and potentially best-case scenario for all parties involved. The Jets need a proven wide receiver to give Rodgers a top target, and Adams fits that mold perfectly.

Trade Prediction 2: Three-Way Trade Including Panthers and Bryce Young

This trade takes a more creative turn, involving a third team, the Carolina Panthers, who are facing struggles with young quarterback Bryce Young.

• Raiders Receive: Bryce Young and draft picks
• Jets Receive: Davante Adams
• Panthers Receive: Jets edge Rusher Haason Reddick and possibly another asset.
In this scenario, the Raiders get a young quarterback in Bryce Young, the Jets land Adams to bolster their offense, and the Panthers get another player or picks to stabilize their offense. This scenario is less likely but offers a major shakeup for all three teams involved.

Fun Trade Prediction: Buccaneers, Jets, and Raiders Three-Way Trade

This scenario is just for fun, but it’s worth exploring. Here’s how the trade would break down:

• Jets Send: A second-round pick to the Raiders for Davante Adams.
• Buccaneers Send: Joe Tryon-Shoyinka to the Jets for the rights to Haason Reddick and cash considerations or another asset.
While this is a wild and unlikely scenario, it stirs the imagination about how different teams can shuffle assets to address immediate needs. The Jets would get their star receiver, the Buccaneers improve their pass rush, and the Raiders get more draft capital.

My Best Scenario for an Adams Trade

The best-case scenario for Adams, in my opinion, is for him to land with the New York Jets. The reunion with Rodgers would electrify an already potent offense and position the Jets as serious Super Bowl contenders. The Raiders, in turn, would gain much-needed defensive help in Haason Reddick and high-value draft picks to help them reset for the future.
This would be the most logical move given the Jets’ needs and Adams’ unique skill set, which could help elevate them in a competitive AFC East.
What do you think? Is the Jets’ trade the best outcome, or would you prefer to see a more complex deal like a three-way trade? Let me know your thoughts below, and don’t forget to stay tuned for more updates on potential trades!
