Waited for the probable

I will admit, before kickoff, I was in a state of dread. It was like waiting for Jaboo to throw that INT. I just knew it was coming. After being manhandled by Denver and showing no “want to” in that game. I waited for the common Bucs trait of getting drubbed and going into a 2 or 3-game free fall. It would have been so like them to come out and get their lunch box stolen by the Eagles. These are Baker Mayfield’s boys now. The team did what true professionals do after a bad game. They rewrote the script for the next one against the Eagles, and started kicking butt from the first whistle, got ahead, and never looked back. What a great foe to have been the recipient of the Bucs, beatdown.

Team win

It wasn’t just the offense or defense. It was all of them and the special teams. Everyone got in on the fun. What a fantastic day Sunday became. Wearing your Jersey into Publix to grab, what have you? You walk with that extra pep in your step and hold that head a little higher, with the nose a little up in the air; it feels great. It reminds me of the old saying, “We’re not conceited. We’re just better than you”. If this team stays healthy, anything is possible. Any lingering doubts about Baker Mayfield have disappeared. He is the real deal. He’s changed into a true franchise guy. Bucky Irving should be the RB1 from now on. White should come in on passing downs and be the true back that he is. Go Bucs!!
