Vita Vea Injury Update: Day to Day

The Bucs sailed into Detroit a 7.5 underdog and defied the odds with a suspenseful finish to a game that no one thought the Pewter Pirates could win. With the team already down several starters in last Sunday’s contest, the news of Vita Vea’s injury made everyone’s heart drop. There wasn’t much information about the injury except that it was a knee sprain and that he would have an MRI on Monday morning to confirm — the MRI’s results revealed his injury to be a Grade 2 MCL strain — better news than expected. Todd Bowles wouldn’t count Vea out from playing next Sunday vs the Broncos. But for now, he is day-to-day. We will know more as the week progresses. I would rather Vea not play than be placed back into a game too early and do more damage. Greg Auman had it first.
