Will Gholston on Facing Rival Quarterback: “I Want to Knock His Block Off”

Buccaneers DL William Gholston was recently a guest on the Pewter Report podcast, and they asked him which quarterback he would like to sack that he already hasn’t. Gholston brought up a few names, including current Buccaneers QB Tom Brady, Packers QB Aaron Rodgers, and most notably, former Buccaneer QB Jameis Winston. When Winston’s name is mentioned, Gholston says, “I want to knock his block off.”

William Gholston considers Jameis one of the bros since Winston spent five seasons in Tampa, but he wants to get his hands on him. Gholston acknowledges that Jameis is a competitor and would love to “drop his shoulder and run him over” as well.

Winston will be coming into this season with a chip on his shoulder after tearing his ACL last season in a Week 8 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Gholston will get his first opportunity to get his hands on Winston in a Week 2 matchup in New Orleans this season and then again in Week 13 in Tampa.
