The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been blessed with two of the league’s best at the wide receiver position and blessed with the multitude of talent behind them, and with the addition of Russell Gage, that talent has gotten even better. However, the roles behind Mike Evans and Chris Godwin are wide open, and Coach Garver is looking forward to the competition for those spots on the roster.

“Really, the way that I look at it and the same thing I’m telling the guys in the room, on this team: we’ve got Mike, and we’ve got Chris, and those two guys have established themselves in their roles and what they bring to the offense,” said Wide Receivers Coach Kevin Garver. “Besides that, it’s open season. It’s really competition across the board. They’ve all got different talents and abilities and bring something different to the table. But I’m really looking forward to the competition as this moves along here.”

The Bucs have Russell Gage, Scotty Miller, Tyler Johnson, Cyril Grayson, Breshad Perriman, Travis Jonsen, Jaelon Darden, Austin Watkins Jr., Vyncint Smith, and Jerreth Sterns, all talented and all eyeing a spot on this roster. The Bucs will have their work cut out for them in assessing who will fill in for Chris Godwin while he works on recovery, but it’s nice to have all that talent to sift through.
