The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced earlier this year that they would be picking up Devin White’s fifth-year option, and according to Jenna Laine, the Bucs have done that today.
Picking up the 2019 5th pick overall’s fifth-year option is an absolute no-brainer. White was heading into the final season of his rookie contract, and the Bucs were not going to allow him to slip away. During his first 3 seasons with the Bucs, White recorded 359 total tackles, 15.0 sacks, 10 pass defends, 4 forced fumbles, 6 fumble recoveries — 2 for touchdowns, and 1 interception, and a Pro Bowl appearance.
