Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians was fined $50,000.00 by the NFL for “striking” Andrew Adams during the NFC Wild Card game versus the Philadelphia Eagles last Sunday. Rules are rules, and opinions are opinions; either way, Bruce Arians was fined for the incident.

During Wednesday’s post-practice media address, the Buccaneers’ head coach was asked about the fine for his encounter with saftey Andrew Adams, and he replied, “I’ll appeal it. It ain’t got nothing to do with the game, so we’re good.”

During Monday’s address, he was asked about the incident the day before and explained why he did what he did. “You can’t pull guys out of a pile. We just got a big play, great field position, and he’s trying to pull a guy out of a pile, and I was trying to knock him off of that guy, so he didn’t get a penalty.”

Regardless of how anyone feels about this situation, it is an unnecessary distraction for everyone as the team prepares to take on the Los Angeles Rams for the Divisional Playoff game this  Sunday.
