The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have placed wide receiver Mike Evans on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Evans is second in the NFL for wide receiver touchdown receptions with 11. Evans is likely to miss the game against the New York Jets, but with his Hamstring injury, it was never certain that he would have been able to play, anyway.
The veteran wide receiver was on pace to record his 8th consecutive 1,000-yard season, which is now in jeopardy. He needs just 101-yards to achieve 1,000-yards.
As reported by Greg Auman of The Athletic, Bucs wide receiver coach Kevin Garner also tested positive for Covid. It is unknown if the two are related.
Breshad Perriman has come off of the Reserve/ COVID-19 list, giving the Buccaneers another deep threat, heading into Met Life this Sunday to face the Jets. Darden remains on the Reserve/ COVID-19 list
Bucs’ receiver issues continue: Mike Evans is going on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Breshad Perriman just came off, Jaelon Darden remains on the list and receivers coach Kevin Garver has tested positive.
