BucDad’s Prediction of Bucs/Bears
2 min read
IT’S GAME DAY!!!! Time to raise the flags and fire the cannons, as the visiting Chicago Bears will be looking to turn their season around under rookie Justin Fields. Meanwhile, the Bucs defense is hungry and ready to go, bear hunting.
On paper: the Bucs should easily win this game — it seems like a trap for the defending Super Bowl Champions. Last season, for example, when the Bucs traveled to Soldier Field for a Thursday Night matchup, they were sent home with an ‘L’ on the record and the infamous moment when Tom Brady forgot what down it was. Apparently, Nick Foles will continue to have Brady’s number.
This matchup has so much more than just some sweet revenge. This game is a classic for many Bucs fans who remember when both teams battled it out during the ’80s and ’90s while in the NFC Central. Those days of Jim McMahon besting our defenses while Mike Ditka made mincemeat out of Tampa Bay offenses with his creative defensive schemes.
Those days are over Bucs fans, and this is about the bear who got away. Today won’t be another loss to a mediocre Bears team, as the Bucs will demolish the team from the Windy City and send them home with a predicted score of 42-10.
