š¶Mama, I’m coming homeš¶ Well, technically, the team already played in Californiaā where Tom Brady’s mama actually livesā but this Week 4 contest is certainly a return to a place Tom Brady called his home for the past two decades. Brady’s return to Foxboro to face his former team has been one of the most talked-about games since the moment it was printed onto the schedule. The GOAT’s return to Foxboro will be stamped into the NFL history books forever as the place where Tom Brady set the NFL passing record.
Sixty-seven and counting. That’s the number of yards Tom Brady needs to surpass Drew Brees as the NFL’s All-Time Passing Leader.
Retired quarterback Drew Brees currently sits on the passing throne with 80,358 yards, with Tom Brady nipping at his heels. He will most certainly take that spot from Brees this coming Sunday.
Brady is on pace to throw for another 4,500 or more yards this season. He is likely to do the same if he sticks around next season. In all likelihood, when he is all said and done, Brady could walk away from the game of football with a career passing yards total that exceeds 90,000 yards. That’s a record that could very well stand the test of time.
