Buccaneers running back Ronald Jones II will have a chance to redeem himself in week 2 against the Falcons. ROJO was benched during last week’s win over the Cowboys following a fumble that he seemed to not be able to get over while on the sidelines. Bruce Arians said that Jones II struggled mentally, and he did not return to the game.
According to Scott Smith of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Jones II will get the starting nod against the Falcons this coming Sunday. ROJO carried the ball six times for 14 yards against the Cowboys last week before being sat down and will look to add some more stats to the season. Jenna Laine of ESPN asked head coach Bruce Arians if Jones II was able to recover from his mistakes; Arians replied, “he’s starting this week, and he’ll be ready to roll.”
ROJO and “Playoff” Lenny should both have very good games against an Atlanta Falcons team allowed 111 rushing yards by runningbacks Miles Sanders and Kenneth Gainewell, while 2nd-year quarterback Jalen Hurts rushed for an additional 62 yards.
