The Buccaneers are hosting the Cowboys on Thursday to officially start the 2021 NFL season. Raymond James Stadium is going to be packed to capacity and it’s going to be a beautiful sight to see. 65,890 fans going crazy for the defending world champions. The stadium hasn’t been sold out like this since the last Super Bowl team was here in Tampa. Todd Bowles spoke about home field advantage yesterday and below is what he had to say.

“Defensively, it doesn’t affect our job. The crowd noise is usually for the offense. We’re going about our business like we always do. Hopefully, the crowd gets into it and we give them something to cheer about and they can make those things happen.”

The defense thrives off of the crowd noise especially on third downs. The stadium always plays one of the defensive players on the video board telling the crowd to get loud so they can get hyped up for the play. After last season and limited capacity to no fans in stadiums, this is something that the team cannot wait for.
