For many Buc fans, Tom Brady is #1 in their hearts. Not many quarterbacks could come in under the circumstances Covid-19 threw at the 2020 season and push a young team into winning it all. Brady did that, and he may just do it again.

For an NFL player to stay in the league going on 10 to 15 years is impressive, let alone Brady’s 21

At 43 going on 44 years old, the veteran quarterback isn’t showing any signs of deteriorating from a high-caliber NFL player. Some say he may just be getting better.—Aging like fine wine. The belief is that he could play till he is 45, which contract-ly fits, but will his body hold out, especially with his knee issues? Probably. The dude is a freak of nature.

I was never a fan of Tom Brady while he was in New England

Brady is heading into his second season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and he and the team are eyeing more bling. Brady’s 8th Super Bowl title. For an NFL player to stay in the league going on 10 to 15 years is impressive, let alone Brady’s 21, But to continually play at an elite level for every year you have started is borderline inhuman.

I was never a fan of Tom Brady while he was in New England; however, I have always respected his game. To me, Brady has always been the #1 quarterback in the league and continues to be. However, that does not seem to be the case for Pro Football Focus writer, analyst, and former Buccaneers quarterback, Bruce Gradkowski. Gradkowski lists Brady #2 out of all 32 starting quarterbacks right behind Patrick Mahomes, which in all fairness, is pretty damn good for a 43 going on 44-year-old-rock-slinging-dude.

Brady capped an incredible 2020 season with his seventh Super Bowl win, and his overall performance was the catalyst for elevating the Bucs to their second championship in franchise history. Not only did he accomplish that after changing teams, but he endured a reduced offseason while having to learn a whole new offense, which makes it that much more remarkable.

He ranked second in passing yards on 20-plus-yard throws during the regular season while taking care of the ball better than any Bruce Arians quarterback since 2006. Not to mention, Tampa Bay has re-signed every significant player from last year. Brady will be more familiar and comfortable in the Arians passing attack with even more supporting cast continuity from last year.

We are 40 days away from the NFL Season Kick-off.

Tom Brady and the Buccaneers will look to pick up their week 14 run last season and continue another outstanding season. Possibly another Super Bowl ring. All eyes should be on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the timeless quarterback all season. History will continue to be written by TB12 and the Pewter Pirates.
