Lavonte David is the NFC Defensive Player of the Month for September

LVD is the man, and all of us Buccaneer fans already knew this; however, it seems that no longer can the NFL overlook the veteran linebacker. 

“Lavonte David is the only player in the NFL this season, who has already recorded 20, or more tackles with at least one mark in the interception, passes defensed, a forced fumble, fumble recovery, tackle for loss and quarterback hit categories,” says Scott Smith, senior writer for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Lavonte David, winning his first NFC Defensive Player of the Month for September, will join Barrett Ruud, Warren Sapp, Derrick Brooks, Simeon Rice, and Shaquil Barrett as the only Tampa Bay Buccaneers players to win the awards. Congrats to the veteran, who got very little respect outside of NFL Players, Buccaneers fans, and local media.
