Devin White will never forget the moment his name was called in the 2019 NFL Draft. Not because he was drafted 5th overall, but who called his name. Kacey Reynolds was a great kid. All that knew him surely continue to mourn him. Kacey Reynolds was suffering from the terminal disease Hodgkin lymphoma, which is a cancer that attacks part of the immune system called the lymphatic system, which limits the body’s ability to fight infections.

Kacey was a life long fan of the Buccaneers, and thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Kacey’s wish was fulfilled, and he announced the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ first-round selection, Devin White. Recently, Devin white took to Twitter to announce that he will dedicate this season to Kacey Reynolds, who passed away in late February 2020. Kacey was an amazing person, and he touched many lives. “I can safely say that to know him was to love him. And to love him was to know him. Those who knew him, loved him, while those who did not know him, loved him from afar.” – I took this quote from Data’s Eulogy for Dr. Ira Graves on Star Trek the Next Generation; Season 2 Episode 6, but I believe this accurately describes how many feel about that young man who fulfilled his wish on that 25th day in April of 2019. Rest in Heaven Kenneth Charles Reynolds III (Kacey).
