Following his signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, running back Leonard Fournette posted a picture of himself with his new quarterback Tom Brady, and Fournette is smiling from ear to ear.
After posting 1647 yards from scrimmage last year with the Jaguars, 1,152 yards on the ground, and 522 yards through the air, the team released him after searching high and low for a trade partner. The reasoning behind letting him go according to ESPN insider Michael DiRocco, Jags head coach Doug Marrone said that Fournette’s release was due to what he had seen of him on the field during this year’s camp, and felt like the group of running backs behind Fournette gave the team a better chance to win. Whatever. Another man’s trash is another man’s treasure.
Buccaneers have needed a bell cow type running back and it seems they have scored one. If Forunette can stay healthy, the Jaguars might just have to kick each other in the pants later on in the season. Lucky for them, they do not have to face the Buccaneers this year, as they look to be an offensive nightmare.
