Over the past few days, the state of Florida has seen a spike in newly confirmed cases of the COVID-19 virus. With the state opening back up in some aspects and the facilities opening as well to coaches, the risk of contracting the virus increases. Per Adam Schefter on Twitter, a Buccaneers assistant coach has been confirmed to have the virus. The assistant coach was also asymptotic, meaning they showed no outer signs of being infected with the virus. Two other Buccaneers staff members are under quarantine now as well.

Undoubtedly due to HIPAA, it will be unlikely the name of the coach will be released until they themselves speak out. Let’s all hope that this is as far as it goes and that the coach has a speedy recovery.
