Washington Huskies QB Jacob Eason is one player that has been linked to the Buccaneers for quite some time now. What kind of player is Eason you might be asking yourself??? Well, let’s take a look.

Eason started his college career off with the Georgia Bulldogs as a 5-star recruit, where he spent his first two seasons before moving on in 2018 to the Washington Huskies. He redshirted his first season and became the starter for the 2019 season. In 2019 Eason completed 64.2% of his passes for 3,132 yards, 23 TDs, and 8 INTs. At 6’6 and 227 lbs, Eason is a tall, strong-armed QB with the ability to make any throw in the NFL. He moves around in the pocket very well but is not very mobile as he is a pure pocket passer. While his stats may look good on paper, you must remember it came against soft Pac 12 defenses.

In my opinion, he will be quite a project in the pro game, and unless he is still available in later rounds is not worth the risk. The Bucs would be better off filling the holes on their offensive line or in their defensive backfield before taking a QB.
