Devin White came out of the draft looking like he could be the best MLB since Ray Lewis, but his season started off slow. White missed 3 games with an injury, and when he did return, he looked as if he was having trouble adjusting to the pro level. Since Nov. 3rd at Seattle, it has been a different story.
Since then, he has 45 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles, with 1 fumble recovery return for a TD and 4 tackles for loss. That gives him a total of 69 tackles in just 9 games.
Not only has a show that he’s not afraid to plug the run or rush the QB, he knows how to use his 4.4 speed to cover receivers and make plays sideline to sideline. It appears the predraft hype was justified because this looks like the next great MLB, and I’m sure playing next to Lavonte David doesn’t hurt.
