Bruce Arians wants Jameis Winston to play fearlessly:
“You have to play fearless, and that’s one of my biggest messages to Jameis – throw it. Don’t worry about it, just throw it and know why you’re throwing it. We have to play that way. We still have some young DBs, who are playing a little careful, and my message to them is it’s time to play fearless. If you make a mistake, you make a mistake, but don’t hold your breath – let it go!”
I like it! Give the players the confidence to go out onto the field and try to be great. instead of playing not to fail!
Brett Favre, Peyton Manning, Joe Montana, Dan Marino, and every Hall of Fame quarterback had this mentality!
If players are afraid of failing instead of trying to be great, they will fail more often!
I love how our Byron Leftwich offense takes the big shot! Sure we’ve made for the running game first, but it has been a good mix of both, and we are growing as a team!
It was also great to see Matt Gay totally rebound against the Rams, though, I’m still recovering from that one!
Well, let’s hope that we can continue our growth against the Saints!
