The Bucs can’t catch a break as they injuries continue to pile up. Buccaneers 2nd year DE Jerimiah Ledbetter is suffering from a high ankle sprain that could keep him sidelined for two weeks or more. Bruce Arians gave the bad news yesterday.
“He got a high-ankle sprain yesterday. We’re hoping only two weeks.”
Ledbetter was selected by the Detroit Lions in the sixth round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He played in 16 games for the Lions, recording only a half-sack and 14 tackles, he was waived before the start of the 2018 season. The Buccaneers added him to the practice squad where he remained until Mid-December when he was placed on the active roster.
He played in only one game and recorded just one tackle.
Ledbetter was fighting for a position and was getting praise from coaches for his performance in practice, but took a major step back with this injury and could find himself on the waiver wire once again.
