Buccaneers at Redskins 11/16/14
Back in May of 2019, the Buccaneers signed free-agent wide receiver Bryant Mitchell. Mitchell is a former Edmonton Eskimos CFL receiver. Playing for three seasons with the Eskimos he played in 16 games, recording 1418 yards and in 6 TDs on 97 receptions. The former Northwestern State Demon had a solid training camp and was a hopeful for making this team.
During Friday’s game, he was off to a good start catching five passes for 32 yards before disaster struck and Mitchell suffered a severe injury by tearing his Achilles. He will likely be placed on Injury Reserve over the next few days as he is more than likely done for the 2019 season.
