Lavonte David misses a couple of practices with knee swelling.

1 min read

Bucs veteran linebacker Lavonte David was sidelined for two practices while dealing with some swelling in his knee.

Before you have a heart attack:

David was kept out of Friday and Saturday night’s practice as a precaution, but it did look like his knee wasn’t bothering him all that much.

Considering that he had knee injuries in the past, some even significant, it is worrisome to see Lavonte David sidelined and hear that his knee his swelling.

Bruce Arians didn’t come off as being too worried about David’s knee while fielding questions after practice. Arians played it cool, and when asked about the swelling in the veteran linebacker’s knee, he nonchalantly replied, “yeah, he’s got a little knee issue. We will re-evaluate it and see what happens.”

I will keep my fingers crossed and hope that the swelling isn’t an indication of something worse.
