Nelson’s ceiling could be sky high

1 min read

When the Bucs drafted DE Anthony Nelson in the fourth round they knew it was a steal. In his final season at Iowa Nelson put up 9.5 sacks 45 tackles with 13.5 TFL. It’s very easy to see by his production in college that he could have easily gone in the late second or early third round. When the Bucs saw him still available in the fourth they pounced, but just how high is his ceiling??

At 6’7 and 271 lbs, he has the size and speed to either play DE or OLB in Todd Bowles 3-4 defensive scheme. That makes him extremely versatile and only increases the amount of playing time the rookie will get.

So how high is his ceiling you ask?

If you’re asking me it could be sky-high.
