What Vea Can Learn From Suh

Vita Vea is going into his second year with the Bucs. As the Bucs first-round pick in 2018, there are some extremely high expectations for Vea. After learning from Gerald McCoy last year, despite the fact that McCoy is no longer with the Buccaneers, Vea has another seasoned veteran to learn from, who just happens to be one of the best and most dominant defensive linemen in the NFL, Ndamukong Suh.
Suh is both a great pass rusher and an elite level run stopper. There are several aspects of Suh’s game that Vea can learn. Suh has an extremely high motor, a nasty streak, he’s very aggressive, he’s quick off the ball on the snap, he uses his hands well.
Even though Suh is considered by many to be a dirty player, he has a strong football IQ, his attitude and approach to the game is something that Vea can start to model his game after.
Despite the fact that the Bucs are going to run a 3-4 hybrid style defense, I imagine that Bowles is going to have Suh and Vea on the field at the same time quite a bit. Both of them are going to be double teamed a lot, which would let one of them through to get to the quarterback.
I’m excited to see these two playings and working together!
