Is Devin White Brooks 2.0?

1 min read

No one knows if there will ever be another Derrick Brooks type player.

From what I’ve seen in film and interviews, he seems to be humble and confident like Brooks was and in command of the defense. Not only that, but they both had athletic trainer Jack Mariucci in common.

Mariucci saw Brooks play at Florida State while he was working there as an assistant athletic trainer at Florida State from 1988-96 and is currently the Director of Athletic Training at LSU going on 23 plus years.

Devin White can’t wait to speak with Derrick Brooks.

I’m not sure I like it when we try to make a player the “next” anyone.

Why not watch and see how he becomes the best “him” that he can be?

I love the pick and he fills the need we have on our defense. I hope he is as good in the next level as he has been in the others! With Arians open door policy for former players maybe Brooks can mentor him?

Whatever happens, lets hope he grows as a player and hoists the trophy one day! Go Bucs
