Josh Allen at #5?

1 min read

With a revamped Bucs defense coming in 2019 under defensive coordinator Todd Bowles, the Bucs will be switching to a 3-4 defense. I think Josh Allen from the University of Kentucky would be the answer as I believe the Bucs are in need of a pass rusher. Allen would be a solid fit at the linebacker position in a 4-3, 5-2, and even a 3-3-5 defense, but he also is a just an amazing athlete and I attribute that to his college coach Mark Stoops.

The Buccaneers also need speed at the linebacker position with the loss of Kwon Alexander. Lavonte David who brings that veteran style of linebacker play, under Todd Bowles 3-4 defense, will most likely be moved to the middle linebacker position.

I hope Jason Licht makes the right pick in this draft because the defense has been the weakest link for the Bucs for some time now. I really hope the Bucs select Josh Allen.
