According to Pewter Report, NFL insider Benjamin Albright says that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are interested in a trade with the New York Jets for linebacker Darron Lee.
The Jets are shopping their former 2016 first-round selection due to the belief that he is not a fit for their new defensive coordinator’s system. it is reported that the Jets are seeking a 3rd-round draft pick as trade, and some will bring up Gerald McCoy as a possible candidate as well. The Buccaneers are not the only ones interested in the trade, as the Broncos and the Browns are also being reported as being interested parties.
Lee would fit nicely in Todd Bowles’ system having played in it since coming into the league.
In three seasons, Darron Lee has played in 40 games, starting in 36 of them, recording 3 interceptions with 1 going for a touchdown, 11 pass defends, 2 forced fumbles, 4 sacks, and 238 tackles.
