Buccaneers to Let Humphries and Alexander Test Free Agency

It looks like Kwon Alexander and Adam Humphries will test the free agency waters. The word on the street is that the Buccaneers will not re-sign either player before free agency begins in the next few days.
Scott Reynolds of Pewter Report stated that “Negotiations with both pending unrestricted free agents have stalled.”
Both players may begin seeking out offers today, March 11th, at noon, but may not sign any deals until 4pm this Wednesday the 13th.
The word is that Humphries wants a deal consisting of $8-10 million a year and Alexander is seeking upwards of $11-$12 million per year.
Bucs GM Jason Licht called Kwon Alexander the heartbeat of the defense and stated that he would love to have the linebacker return next year. Licht said that he and the team value Alexander, but what that value is hasn’t been established yet. The team and Alexander will soon find out.
The Buccaneers have just a little over $3 million in cap space, so in order to re-sign both or either player, they would have to come to terms with a very cap-friendly deal.
