As a Bucs fan, I haven’t seen his kind of passionate running since he retired.

Mike Alstott was the man! He trained hard and played hard. He never gave up on a play! He made his own holes in the line usually by dragging a defender with him and Leaving bodies on the ground behind him!

In the 11-years he played for Tampa, he carried the ball 1,359 times for 5,088-yards and 58 touchdowns. The way he earned those yards was incredible!

An additional note: In those 1,359 carries, he only fumbled 32 times.

Alstott wasn’t just a ball carrier. During his time with Tampa, he caught 305 passes for 2,284-yards and 13 touchdowns.

We need to find another “fullback” with his passion for the game! He was the type of player that inspired others to be better than they think they can be!

Hopefully, there is another Alstott type of player out there, and we find him hidden in the lower picks!

I am hoping for big things this year! Go Bucs!
