Donovan Smith and Tampa Come To Terms
1 min read
The Buccaneers avoid having to use the tag and Donovan Smith still gets a chunky paycheck.
According to multiple sources, but for fans sake I shared Rap’s Tweet about the deal, Smith will receive a 3- year $41.25 million contract w/ $27 million guaranteed.
Considering Tampa wasn’t likely to find a better LT in the free agency and with Winston looking at a new contract next season, it’s only fair all the way across the board that the Buccaneers keep the lineman they drafted to protect him in the following round of the 2015 NFL draft.
Smith will continue to protect Winston for the next few Seasons.
Done deal in Tampa. https://t.co/6EAUsOoPab
