There is little debate that Carl Nassib has earned a spot on this football team and showed that he is more than capable of playing defensive end in a 4-3 scheme, he actually excels at it. However, Nassib has experience playing in a 3-4 with the Cleveland Browns and while not as productive in Cleveland as he was in Tampa last year, Nassib is excited to play in Bowles 3-4 scheme.

“I’m excited for Todd Bowles to teach me new things I haven’t had the experience of doing. I think we’re going to come out attack, attack, attack, and it’s going to be great.”Carl Nassib said on SiriusXM NFL Radio via JoeBucsFan.

Last season, He was active for 15 games starting in 9 for the Buccaneers defense and recorded 6.5 sacks, 2 pass defends, 29 tackles (12 for a loss), 2 forced fumbles, and 14 QB hits.

Nassib is heading into his 4th season in the NFL, and during his first two in Cleveland, he was active for 30 games starting in 15. He recorded 9 pass defends, 5.5 sacks, 52 tackles (11 tackles for a loss), and 15 QB hits.

Cleveland’s defense ranked at the bottom of the league in 2016 – 2017 and only had one win during those two seasons.
