RB or Safety In The 3rd Round?

In 2018 the Bucs lacked depth, the largest position that was plagued by injuries was safety. However, after Ronald Jones II failed to meet the expectations placed on him and ended up being a healthy scratch at the start of the season for more games than he actually played, RB needed a compliment to Peyton Barber that Jacquizz Rodgers just wasn’t able to give.
So with the needs on both ends being what they are, what do the Bucs select in the 3rd round? Typically, Jason Licht likes to trade the 3rd round selections, but he’s also made selections like Chris Godwin with the pick. So with a 3rd rounder obviously having the ability to yield powerful playmakers, keeping this selection to build depth should be a no brainer and depth is what we need a safety.
After Justin Evans struggled to stay healthy, Chris Conte landing on IR by game 3, Jordan Whitehead going down, and having to sign FA Andrew Adams to plug into the gaping hole left by injuries, the need is painfully obvious. While a compliment to Barber is heavily needed, the issues on the line is a bigger problem that personnel won’t fix in the backfield. Safe Bet? Safety. No pun intended.
